Isla looks adorable in yellow & brown - I wonder where she gets it from?
Isla had a BIG weekend! On Thursday Gramma Suzi & Grandpa Don arrived. Somehow we didn't get any pictures with them! :-(Isla was thrilled to see her grandparents after more than a month & a half apart!
On Friday evening Isla sat up by herself for the first time. She rolled to her side and pushed her self up. Later that night she woke up and sat up in her crib. Here's a picture of our sleepy sitter.
On Saturday she (& we) had fun visiting with her cousins and Tia & Tia & Grandma A.On Sunday evening Isla crawled for the first time! She's been on the verge of crawling for weeks, but when she crawled 4 consecutive steps twice, we decided to call it. Since then she's been combining all modes of transportation to get around the house - crawling, creeping, rolling, pulling, and even popping up on her hands and feet and sort of launching forward.
On Monday Isla decided to catch up on oral motor development and did a lot of yelling, raspberries, pursing her lips, squealing and tongue clicking. We are also hearing a few more "mama"s amongst the "dada"'s (still her favorite!)

Big girl! She sure makes her godmama proud! I feel terrible for missing it.
