We had lots of interesting things happen today...
- The first is that Mommy set the clock wrong and Isla had a 6 hour stretch between feeds without fussing. I have to check with the pedi to see if this is ok, but it was great to have some sleep.
- I gave Isla some saline drops today because she has a slightly stuffy nose (normal newborn condition for the first 6 weeks) and it was so funny to watch her reaction. I think she is a salt lover like me. Some went on her lips, and of course some went into her mouth through her nose, and she stopped and looked very thoughtful and happily smacked her lips!
- We visited our neighbors to thank them for the beautiful outfit they gave us. My neighbor loved holding her! Her great grand babies are mostly out of state, so Isla got to stand in.
- Most exciting of all is that Isla may have actually smiled some genuine social smiles today! For the past week she has been making more and more giggles and coos. Today she smiled and looked at me 3 times when I smiled and talked to her!

It sounds like she is really developing her little personality. Isn't great. Soon she will really let you know who she is and what she wants. Keep up the good work sweetie. You are such a loving Mom. Andrew and Isla are sooo...lucky to have you.
Love ya,
Ma Ma A
