I just found out that there was a shark advisory in effect yesterday and today because of 20-30 foot Great White siting. I can't beleive Isla was swimming in the ocean yesterday!
...and now they are talking about sting ray bites and jelly fish stings...we are moving to Wyoming.

I wanted to add that I am in So Cal as well and my hubby got a nasty sting ray wound last year while he was maybe 2 feet from my then 2 year old daughter. We rarely do the beach anymore
