There is nothing more precious than watching your child smile in their sleep when you check on them in the middle of the night & whisper "sweet dreams."Here's a peak at Isla's sleeping quarters -
if she could she would have crib full of stuffed animals, but we limit that to 4 specific friends (Curious George, Digger Dog, Sleepy Bear & Bebe Bear) so there is no negotiations. Only one of those animals (Curious George) comes out of the crib to minimize the risk of misplaced comfort items. She also has a blanket crocheted by my mom's friend from college. It is interesting that with the abundance of beautiful handmade blankets made for her by our many dear friends & family that Isla chose one made by someone I've only met a few times, but I understand - it is soft & beautiful! Sometimes we sneak the blanket over Isla at night, but she will never allow us to cover her when she is awake. I may be making giant sleep sacks for her in the future! Normally Isla likes her blanket shoved up near her head, just like she arranged her blanket in the cradle her Great Gr's made for her. (See the pink blanket by Bunny's head?)

Isla's newest bed buddy is her big girl pillow - complete with dust mite protector, of course, but the defining characteristic of her bed is the books - Her bed is always bursting with books. This shot doesn't even do it justice. Isla likes to read before going to bed & often we hear her in the morning "reading aloud."
