I had the blood test yesterday for the Ultrascreen (1st Trimester Genetic Screen). The test was at the perinatology unit at the hospital where we are going to deliver Baby A! I have been so excited to visit and I was not disappointed. They made a real effort to minimize the hospital feeling and even had mood lighting and a grand piano with a piano player in the lobby!
More importantly, absolutely everyone I met was friendly. I spent about 20 minutes looking at baby pictures with the nurse who checked me in. Her little boy is 4 months old. I'll go back in one week for the big sonogram, and hopefully Andrew can come too, if his trials don't get in the way.
