Another Update

We are almost at 2 weeks of potty training and (knock on wood) things are going well!
In the past week Isla has had 3 accidents!
One last Monday, one last Tuesday & one today.
The accident today was unique because she ran to the potty an appeared to have almost made it (not an oblivious accident). She may have actually made it, but missed the toilet, because that is one of the pitfalls of a little potty. Also unique about today's accident - she was upset that her clothes got dirty and sad about having to change.

Isla is wearing underwear most of the time at home and has for about 4 days. We've also visited friends successfully with and without pull ups over underwear, but without accidents! We bring her potty and that seems to help. On Friday Gretchen babysat her while I did my glucose test and she wore clothes the whole time without any accidents!

In other good news she is comfortable having poopoos on the potty and is also waking up dry from naps about 50% of the time. She runs to the potty in the morning and after naps.

The most exciting step is that she went in a big potty when we went out to dinner on Saturday. We went and inspected the potty when we first got to the restaurant (Islands) & she asked to go at the end of out meal and went without issue. I think it helps that her BFF CharChar is using the big potty.

(On a side note, I really love Islands - they were great with Isla's allergies and this time they undercooked my burger (I asked for medium-well) and they comped the burger and were super conscientious about it. Both with the burger situation and Isla's allergies they always have the manager come out and check on things. Plus Isla loves watching the surfers!)

Nuts are going well. We are taking things slow and introduced cashews today. She is a fan.

On the pudding pop front, our latest creation is oreo - Oreo pudding mix with mini oreos!

Also, are carpets are all clean (Thank you Gretchen & Bryan for the carpet cleaner!) and the baby furniture is in! We just need to figure out the configuration.
